Tuesday February 19 – Julian Bell: Painter and writer based in East Sussex, England. Frequent contributor to the New York Review of Books and the London Review of Books; author of What is Painting? (1999) and Mirror of the World: A New History of Art, (2007). Instructor at London University of the Arts. This talk is concurrent with a solo-exhibition of Mr. Bell’s work at Steven Harvey Fine Art Projects, NY, February 13 through March 17, 2013.

David Carrier: Writer. Getty Scholar; Fulbright-Luce Lecturer in Beijing; Clark Fellow; and Senior Fellow, National Humanities Center. David Carrier’s Wild Art: Art Outside the Art World, a book based upon a Studio School lecture with his co-author Joachim Pissarro, is forthcoming from Phaidon in October 2013.
